Volunteers' Training

BOVA have just put me through my final few days of training in preparation for volunteering in a Bolivian orphanage this summer. Hats off to you, James, you put on a brilliant weekend. We were up in the remote Savio House, just outside Bollington, Macclesfield. What a stunning part of the country. Silk mills almost at every turn and the endless rise and fall of emerald hills and dales.

There is a certain distinctive quality shared amongst the volunteers... they’re lovely people, and they want to have fun whilst pushing to challenge themselves and make a difference. Presentations, debates, meals together, walks, games, uncontrollable laughter and playfulness, prayers, music late into the night... I am indescribably happy and feel very Lucy. The times they are a-changing. Bring it!
