Briefly Home Again

Our school trip to Cornwall was brilliant! Children and staff have been in and out of the sea every day, riding waves. I managed to catch a whopping wave on my bodyboard at the same time as an instructor at one point, but he suddenly swerved into my path and my board mounted him lying down... to save me from my blushes, I did a spectacular 'barrel roll' (well... 180 degrees of one) off him to disappear.

Here you can see a sand-turtle the children made. We're all windburnt and looking sickeningly healthy; and it's good to see the children full of sunshine and smiles, and walking that little bit taller after all their achievements. Job done.

So, it's a quick turn-around for me and then off up North tomorrow for a long weekend of Volunteers Overseas training. I'm kinda longing for 5 Star Luxury and a bit of pampering, but I'll just have to hold out for that.

Will blog again when I finally stop! Date unknown..

Lucy - so glad everything went well. Sarah said she loved it, and thought it was brilliantly organised ... so well done ! I bet you are relieved - it can be so stressful being responsible for so many kids, for an entire week ! Missed you at school in the staffroom.... a bit of good fun you tubing that you would have giggled hysterically at! Lots of Love... and have a great half term. S x
