Quite possibly, it was the strangest piece of site-specific theatre I've ever seen! Forest Hill Sainsbury's played host to Teatro Vivo's sometimes funny and ultimately tragic lives of six individuals.
We wandered around the aisles with one at a time, listening to their stories, offering advice when they asked, and witnessing their inept interactions with one another. It felt oddly natural and then suddenly voyeuristic. These players took you into their confidence and then you found yourself compelled to watch as they fumbled to make something meaningful out of their lives.
It was lovely to then rush back to the Garden Flat for cream tea with my brothers, sister and little Findlay. He's spent much of the day in my brother's Vespa helmet and gloves. I think TJ is going to move back to London which means all four siblings will be in the metropolis again! Brilliant!
