Autumn with flowers

For a couple of beautiful hours, I took my camera to help me get lost in the blossoms and autumn colours of the park behind home.  Some flowers are still in bloom, despite the auburn leaves which will soon fall and dance along the walkways.

The sun still gives a little warmth, and it felt good upon my eyelids as I listened to the fun of the Sunday footballers behind me in the park.

I deeply miss the countryside and the sea air biting at my face.  I never intended to stay in London beyond a year.  And, then I blinked, and have found myself still here, 14 years on, tied in to a mortgage and a job to feed the mortgage and to pay the bills.  It is such an exhausting hamster wheel.

I wish I knew how we could get off it.
