My life right now is a big cocktail of sunshine for me. I hardly know how to neatly parcel up my news into one little blog. Here goes...
I am listening to Joshua Radin. I heard him interviewed on the Radio today and fell in love with his spoken voice even before his music sang out. How divine and soft are his words... once in a blue moon, I am touched by an album that really seems to echo what my life is.
The album is called 'Simple Times'. That is truly what my days have become.
I awake to light dancing through the kitchen window into my home. I am so happy to be back in the Garden Flat. Soft quietude.
Today I finished preparing my classroom so that tomorrow my new class can make it their own space for the next year. I am excited for them. The clean and crisp pages of new exercise books await them. Sharpened pencils. Tidied cupboards. I feel ready and very hopeful for the new academic year. Colleagues are also friends that I love. I know that our school team couldn't be stronger.
I have found my dancing soul and old friendships again. It has felt beautiful to reconnect with the floor and with partners... effortless connection.
Simple times... there is immense soft joy to be had in these.
