Nearly 16 months of filthy litigation are finally coming to an end. My Solicitor and Barrister have never dealt with a worse case and say that they will remember this one for the rest of their lives.
The owner of the flat upstairs has just accepted liability for the ongoing flooding of my flat with waste water and sewage. Consent Orders have been drawn up. Damages are winging their way to me. She has 21 days to fix the many plumbing problems, and then I can start mending my home, moving back in and finding some sort of new connection with the old place again.
I am numb and emotionally flat-lined with exhaustion. Somebody please tell me how I should be feeling and how I can feel again.
I have lost contact with many of my friends through this time. I am so sorry.

Lucy - I am so so pleased to hear this...Hurray! Great news.... And now you will have time to fix up your flat properly, being the summmer holidays.... I would get all the decorators at the ready, so they can start as soon as the work is done - and you can be in there asap. You also need to get a wonderful feng shui person to get some good karma put back in - and have a big party, to get the fun and happy memories starting to flow again. It is the most beautiful flat - you are so creative - and it wont take much to get it all gorgeous again. Susie xxxx
Well done Lucy, litigation is hideous. Get really noisy workmen in, so your lovely neighbour knows how much needs to be done!
Seriously, this is an opportunity to get the flat exactly as you want it, so go for it! And spend that money on your lovely home, it needs pampering, yes?
